Personal Philosophy:

One of the key elements of “a life well lived” is being active. The benefits compound annually, not just physically but emotionally, spiritually and psychologically. The Greeks got it right, that a sound body enables a quick mind and gentle soul. It is from this perspective that I strive to help members get moving, by establishing healthy habits of daily exercise in whatever form each person enjoys. Let’s get together and start to work toward “simply feeling better”.

Circuit Classes

Circuit training is a form of body conditioning or resistance training using high-intensity aerobics. It targets strength building or muscular endurance. An exercise “circuit” is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. Group circuit classes are designed to assist you in getting acquainted with the fitness center. They are a fun way to work out with friends, make new friends, and get new workout routines. Group circuit classes include strength training, cardiovascular exercise, or a combination of both.

TRX Classes

TRX stands for Total Body Resistance Exercise. This type of exercise focuses on suspension training and the movements of the body while suspended. The workouts are designed to work the core muscles and increase strength. TRX moves target different parts of your body while also raising your heartbeat. Many exercises done on the TRX suspension cables integrate many muscles, which require oxygen. Born in the Navy SEALS, suspension training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete hundreds of exercise options.

RIP

RIP is an acronym for: Reps, Interval, Performance. It is a weight lifting program for all genders, ages, and fitness levels. Matching movement to music and using traditional strength training allows participants to work at their own level. It is an exciting, challenging, blood-pumping, body-changing, weight lifting experience! This class is designed to teach the concept and techniques of progressive body building. Class members will follow a regimen that begins with a 16 week strength and muscle building phase followed by a 16 week shaping, defining, and eventual ripping phase. You can start the class anytime!

Mat & Reformer Pilates

Pilates builds strength without bulking up, increase flexibility & agility and create flat abs, slender thighs, and a strong back. Pilates is a challenging yet safe workout and is a great supplement to any fitness program!
